How do I join Ayr Hospitals Radio?

First of all you have to show your interest by contacting us through the website or by contacting us by email: info@ayrhospitalradio.co.uk

Are we told which music we have to play on the radio?

No. We encourage you to play the music you are interested in, however we always ask you to consider your audience and play all genres of music.

Do I have to go through a interview?

Yes, you will be contacted and asked to visit at a time and date which is suitable. The interview process consists of a general discussion about your application, your future duties as a presenter and a look around the studio. You may be asked to return for a second interview.

Can I hear Ayr Hospitals Radio outside of the hospital?

No. Ayr Hospitals Radio can only be heard within three hospitals, Ayr Hospital, Biggart Hospital in Prestwick and Ailsa Hospital.

Will I get my own programme straight away?

You would be asked to join an established presenter for around 4 weeks training. Here it gives you great grounding on how to grasp the basics of
talking with confidence and being able to drive a studio desk at the same time.
